Banding Together

Hey friends! Tomorrow at 2 o'clock a good friend of our family, Kyle Waterhouse, is going into the hospital so he can get a total hip replacement. Please pray that for safe surgery and a quick recovery.

Lets band together and pray for him before during and after. On his behalf THANK YOU!

Brief Over ViewI

I'm Back with pictures!  Yay me!  So we didn't end up going to the Amanas.  This weekend here in Iowa has been a cold one and we thought it might be more enjoyable to go when it warms up to 20 degrees instead of -20.  smile.

Ethan playing 'Guesstures' with our family last fall.  Ethan's going into the Marines and we went to his going away party last weekend.  "Congratulations Ethan!  Thanks for your service to our country!"

This is rare.  Catching a Chmelar and Mendenhall without a smile.

Another highlight of the weekend was the boys basket ball game.  It didn't turn out so hot but we're not going to talk about that.  LOL

On Friday night we got together with about 25 friends and played music and a loud game of spoons.  Very intense by the way!  Here are a few faces from the game.

Update

Hello again from the cold, cold, state of Iowa! I know I've made some promises that I haven't kept so, I'm not going to make any more.

Since i left my flash drive in the pocket of my old jacket, and that jacket happens to be in the car of my friends, it makes it quite difficult to post pictures. ;)

This week we have been privileged to have our aunt staying with us for a week. Yesterday while I was at work, she put on a spa day with the little girls and mom. Complete with manicures, facials, and hair do's. They made sure that Nicole, Chris, Tim, and I, all got facials when we got home from work and the gym. It was fun!

This Saturday will be a full one. In the morning us girls are taking a foreign exchange student from Germany to the Amana's (a little town about an hour from us that has German origins.) for lunch. She's going to teach us all the good German food to eat.

In the afternoon we are going to a send off party for a good friend of ours who is going to boot camp on the 20th. He's joining the Marines.

And finally in the evening we are having a whole group of musicians to our house for a time of jamming, food, and fun!

So that's a look at what I've been doing and will be doing. Keep it right here for pictures! Ok... so you don't believe me. I don't even believe myself. This blog is slowly moving towards my worst blog list. :) LOL

STAY WARM! Tonight the wind chill in Keota Iowa is going to be 40 below ZERO! I suggest hunkering down and taking my Dad's advice...
